Leela Tandavam: The Power of Dance to Tell Stories and inspire.

We often discuss which God( Hari or Hara) is more powerful and fight over it. That is so human of us, without looking at the bigger picture. This show gave us an absorbing and entertaining narration of the different stories which are actually life lessons in disguise. Hari, the preserver, represents Vishnu - compassion, protection and the sustaining force of life. Hara, the transformer, represents Shiva- dissolution, renewal and the power to transform. Together, Hari and Hara represent the beautiful idea that preservation and transformation are not opposites, but two essential forces of existence. What stayed with me most was the way the stories were chosen to perform the different dances all ranging from being energetic and graceful to emoting in stillness . F rom the grandeur of Hari and Hara to the devoted stories of Hanuman, Sowbhagya Lakshmi and the divine leelas. Rudra, Bholanath, Shiva Shakti versions all got a piece. Independence Day Celebrations with purpose!

Independence Day always calls for a celebration and remembering the sacrifices of the many. It always makes me think about what we can do for the nation in today's times. What we do with this freedom gifted to us matters more now as we crossed 79+ years of being a free India. I've always missed purpose during celebrations and deeply feel a community coming together from different walks of lives to solve something is one of the most satisfying things. This time I had the opportunity to attend the much talked about Akan Aahuvaanam ("Akan invites") a fundraiser with The Good Talk Factory for autism education, awareness, and the ecosystems that sustain them. Amidst the music, well dressed and trained staff of Akan who served us delicious food on a banana leaf there was something more memorable for me. Dhurandhar 2 - The Revenge !!

Dhuran-dhar 1 by Aditya Dhar,  It has evolved into more than just a film, it’s a full-blown internet wave. I especially loved the music aspect of it(From Retro to modern to reimagined versions of songs all hit the spot). From the viral Rahman Dakait swag, reel worthy ideas like "first day as a spy", hook steps in shararat song to the hilarious "Peak Detailing observations" served as a self sustaining ad to the movie. While Part 1 focused on world-building and character depth, Part 2 shifts gears to center stage to Ranveer Singh, who owns the screen with a performance that balances emotion, swagger, and mass appeal (with special credit to his hairstylists who made him a model for Adivasi Hair Oil” 😉). This 2026 T20 World Cup will be remembered as a tournament where global cricket truly showed its growth. For the first time, four teams from four different continents reached the semifinals in a tournament hosted in the subcontinent, a clear proof that international players are learning, adapting, and mastering these conditions. The early stages were full of surprises. Associate teams pushed the giants to the edge. Nepal nearly stunned England and Zimbabwe’s upset over Australia was one of the headline moments. It showed how competitive this format has become. On the day , anyone can beat anyone. But this tournament belonged to Team India. We retained our World champion title in dominant fashion. Every city has that one place that feels like childhood, like memorable family winter evenings, favourite food memories, Numaish for many is like that, happiness wrapped in lights, noise, smell of popcorn in every 50 feet with new and interesting stalls every year to explore, what once used to be an industrial exhibition has evolved over time to cater all. For generations, it has been more than just an exhibition. It’s our very own Disneyland. A place where religion, status, age, or gender quietly disappear into the crowd. Where everyone walks the same dusty lanes, eats from the same food stalls, bargains at the same counters(yes, a street smart skill that gets sharpened), and goes home with the same tired legs and full hearts. A place that brings a memory rush to everyone living around this place. In olden days, temples used to be the center for economic and cultural progress in important cities but for most Secunderabad people the station was the symbol of growth and progress and center to their world.                                        We could talk about any aspect of life and this place would have a contribution. My grandfather worked here since Nizams days where it was a major hub for economic activity, transport and military movement. My dad worked in a bank and also worked at a place called Rail Nilayam which along with Sanchalan Bhavan used to be the pillars of the SCR headquarters. It not only provided livelihood to many but was the pivotal link of Secunderabad to the future. Once upon a time dining experience.

The  'experiential fine dine' place in Hyderabad.  Most of my messages/conversations are around food recommendations, asking for places to eat mentioning the occasion and when a message from those friends come saying How are you Arvind, my Restaurant Recommendation System mode is activated. So here I'm throwing out an open recommendation to the world - A fine dine place that has always had that wow factor that not many restaurants can replicate and is truly fit for a celebration.  It was my friends birthday and I tried the Vegetarian set menu - which is called 'Green Fables'. There are 3 specialty menus apart from the A'la carte menu. The Deccan Tales(Hyderabadi) and Indian Epics both predominantly non-vegetarian fares were tried by my friends.  The menu is well curated and rightly portioned.
